The Two Best Ways To Stay With An Employer (without Being A Pest!)

In a career in the field, are a lot of questions about job search newspaper. All about resume writing tips for an interview with the label, I've heard it all.

A popular question that I hear a lot about the dreaded follow-up. After you have applied for a job or easy for an interview, you must monitor.

What is the importance of surveillance in the job search?

A follow-up is extremely important. When the follow-up with the employer, you tell them that you have invested in this company and this position. Basically, the follow-up shows the employer that they think they are important. That said, many employers consider a candidate who does not follow from the application or interview.

How I can go without being boring?

Although there are many different ways to follow-up (phone calls, candy gram, smoke signal ...), most of them are incredibly annoying for employers. After all, they are busy people who do not understand the day was interrupted by curious people looking for work.

And 'logical follow-up phone call or in person to be the most direct approach, but many employers do not like. When you call, requires immediate action by the employer, take time out of their day.

The two best methods allows employers to meet whenever they want, so they have time to think of an answer and really it is considered once again for the post:

1. E-mail

Sending an e-mail follow-up is ideal for those looking for work after the submission of resume or interview. The key to a full e-mail to follow is to keep it short, sweet and professional. Thank them for their account, the main points, and reminds them of you, waiting for a response.

Second Thank You Note

Besides e-mail, a handwritten thank you note is the perfect follow up an interview. This "traditional" method is still true and tells employers that you are really interested in this position. Sending a thank you note immediately after an interview, make sure it will be delivered a day or two later, the ideal window to monitor.

WARNING: These monitoring methods are good as long as the employer does not (a) specify a preferred method to monitor or (b), they do not want any follow-up. Pay attention and you can avoid a big mistake!

What do you think? How do you want to track with the employer? If you are an employer, how you want the candidates to follow you? Share your thoughts in the comments!
