What Is Your Greatest Weakness?

Questions

One of my favorite oxymorons: "The greatest weakness." After an interview, your goal is to present all points of strength, because you are suited for a good job, and how you can have an immediate impact on business success. But often during a conversation, you will be asked about your sins, your skills are lacking, the flip si
de.

Some tips

The first advice that is often heard on this issue is the use of force, but in the end. Response (tired) popular: I'm a perfectionist. Other: I work very hard. Many researchers ignore this type of response and request another. And by the way, sometimes, being a perfectionist is a real weakness. Sometimes, near perfection is good enough when in a hurry.

Others suggest that the use of humor. Mocking itself shows humility. For example, you might say, "My husband tells me I'm horrible at reading maps." I guess as long as you do not drive around the city to work, do not care. However, it is not a weakness of the work, the interviewer might ask another. You will have to give the appearance of humor and respond more seriously.

Another approach researchers take is to simply say they have no weaknesses. This, of course, it is almost impossible. So, in essence, almost lying in his interview - always a bad thing.

The interviewer wants to know that you acknowledge that you have faults, and may miss the target as an ideal candidate. They know well prepared respondents will not provide any reason to be abandoned as a viable candidate. So, in essence, it's more of a test to see how to present your case.

Response

What should you say? Choose a weakness in your illnesses, tool kit, you know, is not relevant to the job you are interviewing. Interviewer acknowledge that you have been honest with them, and are likely to consider their "greatest weakness" would be nothing to him. You should also remember that the study or taking a class to improve in this area. For example, a computer programmer might say he wants to improve their public speaking skills, and participate in Toastmasters training. For the plan to overcome this "weakness", it really transformed the answer should be a pseudo-force: it is possible to recognize your sins and set a plan to develop themselves. Very good quality.

Such an approach would be to discuss a weakness that have recently been overcome. Remember to talk about how to identify it as has survived, and what you have learned from experience.

Yes, it is just a "song and dance" when it comes to the interview. It may seem boring. But until the song changes, you must know the necessary steps in order not to stumble.
